I work as an Online Education Project Manager at the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (CILT) at the University of Cape Town, where I  provide strategic input and support the implementation of online learning at the university. I also conduct research on online learning within Higher Education, present at conferences and write articles. From 2014-2017 I was the Project Manager of the University’s Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC team) and a Research Communications Advisor for the Research on Open Educational Resources for Development Project (ROER4D – a global OER research project.

Previously I have been a writing skills tutor, an editor and a communications course author and worked at Write to the Point as an eLearning Strategist and Consultant.

I have a BA (Hons) History from Oxford University and a Master’s in Online and Distance Education at The Open University, UK. I grew up on Milton Keynes, UK and I’m lucky enough to live in Cape Town, South Africa.

  1. Hi Sukiana, I’ve been running through my links to make sure that I still have all the contacts when eventually I come off the OU Platform. I’ve now completed the MAODE but want H809 so that I can at least consider doctoral research. Glad you’ve made it over to WordPress which I swear by. I’ll be doing more with the blog later in the year. And I could well be in Cape Town with the family at the end of the year staying with my brother.
